VANDALS have removed a half-ton anchor from an award winning display.
The 100-year-old sailing boat anchor in the flower beds at the Lollipop Express Train near Cleethorpes Leisure Centre was dragged from the display last night.
It appears they dragged it from the beds and smashed it into the barrier, breaking the wooden post.
Lollipop Express owner, Borg Nejrup, who won Cleethorpes In Bloom's Best Business Award for the display, is devastated.
He said: "You try and do something nice for Cleethorpes and this is what happens. I can't believe it."
Police have been informed and are investigating.
