GRIMSBY Town will face Dartford in the FA Carlsberg Trophy semi-finals after the Darts saw off FC Halifax in a quarter-final replay last night.
Halifax took an early lead through Gardner but Town's Blue Square Bet Premier rivals fought back in the second half with two goals in two minutes.
Hayes added a third for the Kent side on 79 minutes before The Shaymen gave themselves a lifeline when Gardner pulled it back to 3-2 three minutes from time.
The hosts missed a penalty seconds later, but held on to set up a semi-final meeting with the Mariners.
The first leg will take place at Blundell Park on Saturday, February 16, with the second leg being held at Dartford a week later on Saturday, February 23.
