Police are appealing for information in connection with an incident which happened on Park Street in Grimsby at around 4.40pm on Thursday, January 31.
A man entered a shop on Park Street and asked the female shop assistant for a carrier bag. The woman told the man she did not have any, so he attempted to engage in conversation with her.
The man is alleged to have made an attempt to take hold of the woman's arm before he touched her inappropriately and then left the shop.
The man is described as a white male, around 6ft 2ins to 6ft 5ins tall and of a slim to medium build. He was wearing a black coloured beanie hat, a black leather jacket, checked shirt, black jeans and black shoes.
