AFTER a stunning performance at the National Television Awards, Tetney teen Ella Henderson will begin the X Factor 2013 Live Tour tomorrow.
The 17-year-old wowed the crowds at the awards on Wednesday night with her rendition of Cher's Believe.
Not only that, but the former St Martin's pupil was also the first person to test the new Peugeot Design Lab Pleyel piano, and she practised her skills on it before the show.
And just before she went on stage, she tweeted: "Ahhh nerves of excitement!". Afterwards, the official X Factor Twitter feed posted: "Wow what a voice. Such an amazing performance at the National Television Awards!"
The national press claimed Ella put Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh's vocals to shame. Kimberley also appeared on the show in what was her first solo performance.
Ella, who has been writing her own songs since she was 13, said afterwards: "It was an honour to perform at the NTAs tonight. A night to remember!"
She also received support from celebrities, such as Myleene Klass who tweeted: "You smashed it hun. Expected nothing less. X"
Ella, who is due to release her debut album this year, is now preparing to join fellow contestants – including winner James Arthur and Cleethorpes-born Micky Parsons, of District3 – for the X Factor Live Tour. It begins at Manchester Arena on Saturday.
Micky's mum, Carol, said she will be sending him some new underpants during the tour because she is worried he won't have enough.
She said: "I packed Micky a huge suitcase for the tour and he got out of the door and said 'what an earth have you packed me?'
"So he took all the things out I packed him and only repacked a couple of bits!
"I'm worried he won't have enough clean underpants, so I will be posting some out to him. I don't like the thought of him with dirty underpants!
"I'm missing him already and I tried ringing him to say, but he was busy rehearsing.
"It's not the same as X Factor because I knew where he was based, but with him touring he will be going around the country."
Carol said Micky and his band have been practising in a warehouse, in Wakefield, for the tour.
She will be watching him at the Wembley Arena show, adding: "Micky is really excited about the tour – he's excited about the pyrotechnics.
"They will be singing three or four songs, but I hope they will sing Tears In Heaven' and Begging – they are my favourites."
The arena tour travels to Brighton, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, London, Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dublin and Belfast.
