THE Met Office has predicted snow this evening and advised
drivers to be weary of icy stretches on the roads in Lincolnshire.
Today, a band of snow coming in from the west is likely to hit
the region this evening, with sleet and snow showers across Lincolnshire and
2-3cm settling in places, according to the Met Office.
Areas in the Lincolnshire Wolds have reportedly already seen light snow showers overnight, although little has settled on the ground.
And in a warning issued at 5.39am today, drivers were warned
to take care on the roads.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "The public should be aware
that icy stretches are likely to form on untreated surfaces, giving difficult
driving conditions."
Tomorrow, the Met Office has warned that most of the country will see snow in the early morning which will slow down in in late morning, then intensify again later in the day.
