TOP students were recognised for their achievements at a special presentation evening.
More than 60 trophies were handed out to students from Monks' Dyke Tennyson College in Louth who have excelled in specific topics and commitment to work.
Awards were handed out by principal Dr Chris Rolph and there was also guest speaker Melvyn Prior from BBC Radio Lincolnshire at the well-attended event.
Monks' Dyke Technology College and Mablethorpe's Tennyson High School recently merged to become the college.
Dr Rolph said: "The last year has been so unusual and significant in the history of our schools.
"We've gone through a merger, joining together two partner schools to make a new one.
"Monks' Dyke Tennyson College is already proving to be successful: in terms of exams results, sporting achievements, and simple popularity among parents.
"Already we have a whole that is greater than the sum of the parts.
"This ceremony celebrated the students' achievements and tonight is their evening, rewarding their success.
"We are right to be proud of our achievements, and we are equally right to look forward to more."
Dale Mollitt, 18, who is currently studying mathematics at the University Of Sheffield, won the attainment awards for mathematics and travel and tourism, the Oham Lakes Trophy for making the most of opportunities and the Coombes Cup for striving to achieve.
He said: "I'm very proud of all of my achievements and especially the comments I got during the presentation that 'I drive the teachers wild!'
"I didn't expect to win so many awards and I won't forget about this event for many years to come."
Lloyd Finlay, 18, won the Britton Merlin Trophy for outstanding effort and contribution to college and a Duke of Edinburgh Silver certificate.
He said: "I am really happy to receive these awards and I was quite nervous to go up and receive them.
"I wasn't expecting the special award and I plan to study medicine at university."
Nicole Houghton, 19, received the Mary Miller Award for "shining through".
She said: "During college I have worked hard by being head of year, part of the college council and began a stop smoking campaign."
