The Met Office has this morning said there is a 70 per cent probability of severe cold weather, icy conditions and heavy snow in this region at the weekend.
The bad weather is expected to arrive in this area between 6am on Saturday and 6am on Monday.
A Met Office spoklesperson said: "This weather could increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services.
"The warning is likely to be extended into Tuesday next week."
