The 31-year-old man rescued from his crashed car by passersby on the A180, remains in a very poorly but stable condition in Hull Royal Infirmary, according to Humberside Police.
The man, from Grimsby, was driving a BMW on the westbound carriageway at shortly before 2am on Saturday when it left the road and collided with a number of young trees.
As reported, passersby on the same road stopped at the scene near to the Great Coates interchange and helped in the rescue.
A Humberside Police spokesman said there had been no change in the man's condition and he remained poorly.
